New Centaya-C Special – mounted seed drill with twin-chamber hopper

Amazone introduced the Centaya-C Super harrow-mounted seed drill for combined grain and fertiliser sowing in autumn 2022. Now also available in a smaller version, the Centaya-C Special pneumatic harrow-mounted seed drill. Available in working widths of 3 m, 3.5 m and 4 m, it has a twin-chamber hopper with a capacity of 1,500 l.

Efficient use of inputs

The 1500l hopper is split with a 70:30 divide, enabling two different materials in volumes of 1,050 and 450 l to be filled. The application of these materials are metered separately and precisely with the ISOBUS-control and infinitely variable electric metering allows seed rates of 0.5-400 kg/ha at a working speed of 10 km/h.

The conveying system feeds the materials to the coulters via the segmented distributor head. This simple conveying system transports the seed and the fertiliser to the coulter using the single-shoot process, they are then sown into the soil via the coulter.

The Centaya-C Special can be equipped with an additional Micro plus micro-granular applicator. This 110 l hopper enables the driver to apply a third material in the same pass. The material, such as micro-nutrients or low seed rates, is fed into the main conveying system of the Centaya-C Special and is also applied using the single-shoot process.

2 coulter systems, 2 row widths

AMAZONE offers the harrow-mounted seed drill in working widths of 3 m, 3.5 m or 4 m with either the RoTeC single disc coulter or TwinTeC Special double disc coulter. The machines can be ordered with a row spacing of 12.5 cm or 15 cm (in working widths 3 and 4 m) depending on the customer requirement.

QuickLink quick coupling system

The Centaya-C harrow-mounted seed drill can be combined with the various soil tillage implements via QuickLink. Depending on the requirements, the Centaya can be coupled with a KX or KG power harrow. It is also possible to combine the Centaya with the CombiDisc compact disc harrow on light soils.
