The first months of 2024 saw the arrival of two new Amazone Pantera self-propelled sprayers to Ireland. Both Pantera 4504 models have been sold by Neil Butterly of Leinster Hydraulics Agri., a tillage specialist based near Skerries, Co. Dublin.
“It might seem like they’re a big machine to be selling but it is the way that farming is going,” Neil explained, “More people are choosing to buy specialist machines for specific jobs. You can see the benefits of purpose-built machinery when the farms running it are always the first to get out to do work once the conditions come anyway right.”
The Pantera 4504 self-propelled sprayer has a tank capacity of 4,500 l and can be equipped with sprayer booms with working widths from 21 m to 48 m. Stepless track width adjustment as standard makes the Pantera very flexible, particularly when used on different track widths. A wide variety of options can be chosen thanks to the different chassis options. The Pantera focuses on increasing work rates as well as reducing the workload on the driver.
“It’s exciting to see more of these machines coming to Ireland,” commented Stephen Scrivener, Sales and Marketing Director for Farmhand, importer for Amazone “Today’s farmers expect machinery that prioritises accuracy and the Amazone Pantera is a perfect example of this. Both self-propelled sprayers come equipped with advanced GPS systems combined with the most accurate single spray nozzles. There are more customer Panteras on the way so 2024 looks set to be a great year for this machine”
