Farmhand Delighted to be De Courcey Harvest Day Sponsor
Farmhand are confirmed as the main sponsors of the 2019 De Courcey Harvest day in conjunction with local dealer, Derry O’Donovan Machinery. Held on the August Bank Holiday (Monday 5th) the location for this year’s event will be Sandycove, Ballinspittle, a particularly picturesque site overlooking the sea.
The De Courcey Harvest Day began in 2011 as a working demonstration, now a national event the harvest day includes areas of continuous activity from every sort of machine associated with the harvest past and present. Speaking ahead of the event Farmhand Marketing Director, Stephen Scrivener explained how ‘It’s great to be a part of such a key event in the Irish farming calendar. We are delighted to be sponsoring the De Courcey Harvest day along with Derry O’Donovan.’
Visitors on the day can expect to see the Krone BigX 630 and Krone BigM 450 taking pride of place on the stand alongside a further 20 machines chosen from the Krone, Amazone and APV product ranges. There will also be some very special vintage machines from local farms on display. As well as a phenomenal stand display Farmhand and Derry O’Donovan Machinery, with the help of their customers, will be putting on a live machinery display expected to commence following the official opening of the De Courcey Harvest Day at 2pm. They will also have a New Amazone Cayros Plough out participating in the live demonstrations. “It promises to be a good day out,” Stephen went on to say “It is a great community event for very worthy causes and we are very much looking forward to meeting with customers there, both old and new!’
This year’s event aims to raise money for the Fr John Kinston Mozambique project, Ballinadee National School, DeCourcey boxing club and Ballinadee Community Hall.
