Following the arrival of three new Amazone Panteras to Ireland in 2024, growing interest in the self-propelled sprayer resulted in a demonstration tour early this year of the new 7004 model. Focussing on prime tillage regions, the demo Pantera visited Wexford, Kilkenny, Tipperary, Cork, Meath and Dublin.
The Pantera 7004 self-propelled sprayer has a tank capacity of 7000 l and can be equipped with sprayer booms with working widths from 24 m to 48 m. Stepless track width adjustment as standard, makes the Pantera very flexible, particularly when used on different track widths. Different chassis options available to meet a variety of requirements, the Pantera 7004 focuses on increasing work rates and reducing operator work load.
“It’s exciting to see more of these machines coming to Ireland,” commented Stephen Scrivener, Sales and Marketing Director for Farmhand, importer for Amazone “Accurate spraying of chemicals has never been more important and the new Pantera 7004 has the most accurate spraying platform on the market.”
As standard the basic Amazone Pantera comes with a range of features aimed at efficiency and precision, including adjustable track widths, automated headland management, multiple steering options and exceptional ground clearance. Booms are designed following the principles of an aircraft wing making them both superbly robust and superbly light. The exceptional high quality ensures a long operational life even over very high acreages, and compact transport dimensions with transport widths of 2.55 m contribute to safe road transport.
With AmaSwitch single nozzle control, Amazone offers the precise solution for automatic part-width section control in 50 cm sections. AmaSwitch is the ideal for users who want to maximise the benefits of very precise switching in wedge shaped fields and areas of overlap, thanks to the 50 cm part-width section control. AmaSwitch includes the DUS pro high-pressure recirculation system, ensuring spraying pressure is constant to each individual nozzle, as standard and can also be equipped with LED individual nozzle lighting.
Tillage farmer James O Reilly from Co. Kilkenny bought the Amazone Pantera 7004 with new super L3 45m booms following the demonstration tour. “The Pantera is not just a sprayer, with the advanced chassis design it merges power and precision, as well as the AmaSwitch single nozzle system which will allow me to spot spray”
James is also the first customer in Ireland for CultiWise. CultiWise is a software platform that combines satellite and drone imagery to allow farmers to spot spray weeds as well as variable rate spreading/seeding.
